I was driving around today with my friend, and he was using my Canon S30 to take random shots... then he laid the camera on his lap and once when he got out of the car he forgot that it was there and ended up dropping it on the concrete/asphalt >!!!! :|

everything works but my previously perfect camera has marks on the corner on the back side of the camera (towards the user).... its like mini indentations made into the plastic casing like "strawberry patches" youd get as a kid when you fell on your knees

what was a like-new perfect camera has imperfections in it :( anyways to fix it?

high rpm buffing machine?

few strokes with some really fine grit sandpaper might work too

It would have to be very, very fine to not just make more scratches.

I doubt there is any way to fix it. You'll just have to live with it :p

the cameras come "brushed" so more with fine grit wouldn't be all that noticeable compared to the nicks a drop on concrete would do

Don't do anything to it. You might break it while in the process of fixing it. Be glad it wasn't functionally damaged.

My Olympus has scratches now too. But now I like them. Give's the camera that "well used" look :)
