I'm sick of staring at all of the shining, popping, and waving bilinear texturing in BF 1942. Is there a way to enable trilinear filtering without having to hide the problem with anisotropic bilinear?
If you have a 9500/9700 based card you can use quality anisotropic and it should automatically create trilinear mipmap samples, even without the game's support.
Other than that all I can suggest is that you check the game's config files for a trilinear option in there.
