Anyway to disable XP's new "screenshot" CoolSwitch (ALT-TAB)?

Is there anyway to disable Windows XP's new CoolSwitch (the thing that appears when you press ALT-TAB to switch tasks)? ... It is very sluggish on my system when it needs to take screen shots of large maximized windows... I would much rather go back to the old Windows 2000 style CoolSwitch that does not take any screen shot of the task I'm currently running. Disabling Luna and disabling the new Start Menu did not disable the new CoolSwitch ... Any help would be appreciated!

didn't coolswitch arrive with windows powertoys? If so, simply uninstall that portion of powertoys, or if you cant uninstall specific traits of it, just uninstall powertoys and reinstall it without coolswitch. mind you it'll take a restart for it work be proper again

Isn't the CoolSwitch part of the Powertoos for XP? I know that you can do a custom install of the Powertools and choose which ones you want to install. In this case, just disable the Coolswitch tool.

However, you may have to remove the Powertools and then re-install. Hope this helps. . .

I just did it right now; go to Add/Remove Programs>PowerToys>Change>Then Select the Alt-Tab Switching module, select "Not Installed" for it, and finish. Then reboot.
