Anyway to disable AMD speedstep?

I have a 3.2ghz AMD A6 laptop and it seems to randomly get stuck at 1.4ghz


Is there any way I can just cut the crap and have it run at 3.2 all the time?

Have you tried setting windows power management to performance?

Yeah Window 7 can set in the power performance options the % Off CPU power both at idle and at load. You might find that the power setting you have has it capped at ~40%.
