Alternatively, get a bluetooth speaker or adapter for your current speakers/tv/chromecast/etc and just use your phone + smartwatch.

i already own 2 lg tones

Will the bluetooth pc dongle work just as well if it's extended to reach a wider area of my apt via a usb extension?

The watches don't interact with desktops at all, only phones and tablets. There is no direct solution but there are some macro abilities that can be commanded to execute on the phone from the watch. Not sure what software you could use on the phone to control those desktop apps using macros. I think what ever you are trying to do can be done better another way.

tho that app i mentioned is ok, i think team viewer would be a better solution. Tho im having problems with my phone controlling my desktop via team viewer. Is this because it's a low entry phone with 512 mg ram and 4g storage? Would getting something like a blu pure xl remedy this. Anyways, i want to update my phone either way. I'm a power user with everything but the actual phone app, lol. reason i want to control my audio using my phone is because i want a more seamless experience when i am switching from desktop to going to the bathroom or kitchen

Also, do certain usb bluetooth dongles give longer range or is that restricted to the headphones?

now that i think about it the app is good enough. want to defer my tech gratification until something mindblowing comes along in 2016-2017

If you use XBMC (now Kodi), they have a good phone app.

Personally, I have a pair of Creative speakers that plug into my computer but can also simultaneously do bluetooth directly to a phone.
And the Chromecast (audio or video version) works via wifi, so it'll have the range of your wifi. Chromecast might actually be the best solution here, since it just mirrors your phone and then you can use the smartwatch to control the phone.

I use my watch to control the media player on my phone, and that works great. I don't see much reason to control my desktop players from my watch. Even less when I am away from my desktop.

I don't need to use bluetooth on my phone, but for the pc

Technically, you stated you need to control Pandora and Youtube from a portable device, you merely choose to do that through your PC.

There are a lot of these Mediatek-based Android phones that are priced really low. Some of them may have proven to be quite good (or at least provide an excellent bang-for-buck ratio) and become popular internationally.

I personally haven't heard of this particular one, so I can't say anything. There's so many different options out there that are Qualcomm-based (and Exynos, obviously) from established manufacturers at the low-middle-high price range so I generally simply glossed over the Mediatek and Intel-based options and never really considered them.

Feel free to try it and let us know!

Seems like a decent device for the money.

Honestly though all of us are going to be scared of something like that because it will never get updates but looking at videos it looks barely skinned. Not a bad value.

I'm now looking at the redmi 3 Price seems to compete. Better cpu 2.0 as opposed to 1.3 with the cubot. I like the color of the cubot tho. The gold on the cubot is more darker and bold as opposed to the gold of the redmi and for a little more you can get 32 gb storage and 3gb ram with the redmi 3. may just get a black redmi 3 with the 3gb ram and 32 gb storage. anything to add to my potential decision?

The Pine Neptune isn't a smartwatch, it's a phone in a watch form factor.

An actual smartwatch doesn't run phone apps, it runs smart watch apps and connects to the phone.
There's 3 options:
iWatch for iPhone
Android Wear watches
and Pebble, which works best with Android (but can work with iPhone) but trades features and power for a lower price and much better battery life.

I really think you should forget about controlling the desktop, phones can do everything a desktop can. If not, you should look into Kodi for the desktop and their app to control it.

reason i want to control my desktop via an outside controller is because i want a more seamless experience when it comes playing games and listening to music. I don't want to have to take off my headphones and put another one on just to here pc game audio, get it? maybe i want a phone on my wrist? Anyway if not the smartphone watch, im looking at
Blackview BV5000 4G Smartphone

- BLACK 147319801 5.0 inch Android 5.1 Quad Core MTK6735 64bit 2GB + 16GB IP67 Waterproof Shakeproof Dustproof

seems legit, as long as it works. battery is 5000, unreal

Unsure if i should wait for the rufus cuff

would like a phone on my wrist

wrist phones are silly now that I think about it. I want to use two hands to type. with smartwatches, you only use one finger

for potential hypothetical reasons, can a sigle bluetooth headphone be connected to both a smartwatch and a phone? how about a smartwatch, desktop, and phone, on a single headphone? is this posible? do they have special headphones that do this or can the software be tinkered? I heard bluetooth is old technology, is there something better coming out to allow me to do this if I can't do this atm?
