Hi, I bought a X800 Pro refurb from ATI's clearance store and after installing it, I looked through ATI Tool and notice that it says Active Pipes - 16. I was shocked and was wondering if there was anyway this could be true for only a X800 Pro! (It's not a VIVO as far as I know) but maybe the previous owner flashed it? Or ATI Tool is incorrectly reporting the active pipes. But it would be awesome if it was!

So is there any other program that might report this for me? I cannot think of any.

That would be really cool if the previous owner hardmodded it, it stopped working so he sent it back and ATI fixed it and sold it as a refurb not realizing it was ounlocked. The chance of that happeneing is >%1 though. 3Dmark05 it.

Well, that is odd. I gave a it run through battlefield 2 and the system crashed and restarted in about 3 seconds. After that I tried it again, and the game was giving me artifacts for about 3 minutes but then they all disappeared. Lo & behold when I finished gaming a few hours later, and checked ATI tool it says 12 pipes only.

Has there ever been a case like this?

It's because of EA.

EA killed 4 pipes, & the next time you run BF2, it will kill another 4 pipes.

Soon you'll have no pipes :D

Yeah, thats what I used the first time at the first time around but I was thinking maybe it was wrong because it didn't seem right.

However it overclocks like wonderfully right now.

Stock was 475 Core / 450 Ram

Right now i'm on 550/525 still trying to find some errors. It sorta makes me wonder if it really is just a disabled XT in here....too bad it aint' VIVO :(.

Does anyone know what an X800 Pro would overclock to?
