Anyway to change the max bid on eBay?

Say a bid is only 10 bucks right now and I put max 50, am I allow to move that down to say 30? If so, how can i do it?

I think you have to retract your bid. Not 100% sure tho.

i think that's how it works, take back your old one and place a new one, for reason, just put in "typed wrong amount"

Only option is to retract the bid and then bid lower. I'd watch the auction though and see where it goes because whenever you retract a bid, it shows up on your feedback rating.
