We found a '92 240SX that has a '93 engine with 140k kms on it. The previous engine had 200k km. The tranny has not been replaced to my knowledge..so it probably has 200K km.

I don't feel good buying a car that has a replaced engine, I don't see any reason why a KA24DE would have to replaced at 200k km, they are bullet proof engines..and should last 300k+ kms!

Dammit, why are 240SX so damn hard to find!! Everyone we find, is usually sold within two days or so. Its like there is someone buying every single car we look at!!

200+140 = 340km on the body and parts of the car.

too many clicks

i too was looking for a 240sx for my son and we came by a few but they were a little to much so we went and bought an integra

the 240sx are great cars but because of the RWD, and there lightweight they handle terrible in the winter (which is bad cause of the winters here in canada)

the 240sx are very reliable cars and the engines are bulletproof but with abour 340 km on it....too much, alot of stuff might need to be replaced soon

Well I don't think the engine had 0km when it was put in. So the car doesn't really have 340k on the body, but it does have a lot.

With winter tires, and some sand bags in the trunk, the car shouldnt be to bad in the winter. You just have to drive it carefully.

I would have to agree that this car is probably one that you should pass up. 130,000 miles (roughly equivalent to 200,000km) is not a lot of miles at all, and I'd expect that with a decent amount of care those engine ought to run for at least 200,000 miles (something over 300,000km). Generally, a car that needs an engine replaced has not been treated very well, and there are probably other things just waiting to go wrong. Of course, I suppose that it's entirely possible that this particular car happened to get a mildly bad engine at the factory as a result of assembly line differences and that the car would be perfectly fine. If I were in this situation though, I'd pass and keep looking.
