I've decided I'm going to put a TV in my garage for cable TV. Its an attached garage and it would be nice to have a TV on while Im outside grilling. I already have the fridge full of beer. The dartboard is going up soon. Now I need a TV. Im just going to get the cheapest 20" set that I can find to throw on the wall. Is there anything that I need to worry about with this at all?

What about a shelf or mounting system?

I would worry about getting so caught up in a movie that you neglect to shut off the car in the garage with you, and slowly die from carbon monoxide poisoning.

I have a 27" cheapo sylvania tv outside on my screen porch. It has been out there for two years 24/7 365 days a year with no problems. Even gets a little moisture on the screen when its real humid and storm blows in. No problems here. Go for it.

Get a tv with a headphone jack and add some cheap creative computer speakers w subwoofer so it sounds decent. In a garage the regular tv sound will suck. Speakers are $19 from wal-mart.

i have a tv in my garage...no problems, went to lowe's and got some cheap metal shelves to hold it, also used to have a tv in my kitchen in my old house, that was the best!

previously a neighbor had a tv in his garage...and some wingback chairs

after a few people caught him watching porn, he finally started to shut the door when it was on.

Thats the plan. Some home depot brackets, an el cheapo TV and about $50 for the cable company to run me out a line. Should be about a $200 project.
