Anything special for a 10k rpm drive?

Hey hey,
So I recently bought a new WD 500gb VelociRaptor WD5000HHTZ. (64mb cache, sata 6.0 etc etc)

I'm wondering if 10,000rpm drives need to be treated any different than a traditional 7200rpm?
This drive was a great deal on Black Friday, cost something like 60 bucks. Yea I know this it the age of SSDs, but what I want in an SSD was just out of my budget at the time.

The way I usually treat my computer is, leave it on for 1-2 weeks at a time. Using sleep when I go to bed. It's pretty much on my sleep habit. On for 12-16 hours a day, then in sleep mode for the rest. I'll reboot or power down once a week or so. Would such computer usage be just fine for the drive? Probably a totally dumb question, but I'm paranoid and try to take the best care of my hardware as possible 😀

Just make sure it has good cooling. Your usage plan is OK tome.

Opps nevermind, just noticed you said it was $60. Great deal as they are normally like $150.

Cool thanks guys.
Yea it was like 60-70 bucks on Newegg for 12 hours or so. I was like "Schweeeeet" 😀

I'll treat it just like all my other harddrives over the years

Not necessary as they're some of the coolest HDDs you can get:
