Anything similar to SLK3700 without the drive doors?

A friend of mine recommended the Antex SLK3700 case for my Asus A8V Deluxe Motherboard and Athlon 64 processor. I like the case except I don't think I could deal with having to open a door to get to the optical drives. Is there anything else out there in this price range that doesn't have the door on the front that would be of comparable quality? Also, I'd like to have a Firewire port on the front if possible.

Is that the 3700AMB or 3700BQE? The "AMB" model is actually a CompuCase LX-6A19.

Beige
Black/Silver

Cost is $40 plus shipping from a reputable dealer. The 6A19 uses the exact same metal chassis as the Antec SLK3700AMB, just different front plastic. No door!!! Yes, I don't like doors over my drive bays either. An added plus is a 300W HEC power supply. It is of decent quality, maybe on par with Fortron units. Too bad it's a bit light on the wattage/amperage. It will still power an Athlon 64 system with one hard drive and a Geforce 6800GT (yes, I've done it). Front USB ports only, IIRC.

Zap almost got it right. The cases are the same except for the front bezels. Compucase 6A19 series is excellent! For more details check http://www.coolcases.com - best deal on 'em has been at Directron but use the price search engines to find the current best deal.

Great...thanks for the help everyone! I just ordered the Compucase from Directron. I think that's exactly what I need. I'll need to replace the power supply though as I don't believe 300W will support what I am building:

Athlon 64 3000+
Asus A8V Mobo
2 Maxtor 120G HDs
Aopen 1648 DVD-ROM
BenQ 1620 DVD Burner

I do a lot of video encoding, but no gaming. Any recommendation for a PSU for this setup? Would the Xclio 450 be overkill?

The HEC PSU that comes with the Compucase should bring at least $20. + shipping on eBay toward whatever PSU you need. It's an excellent PSU for an older system that leans heavily on the +5V rail.
