Anything out of the ordinary here?

I was wandering if you guys see anything out of the ordinary here? For some reason the PC just doesnt seem to be running like it did, I tried running SS&D, Adaware, Crap Cleaner to see if it found anything and it all checked in good. Done a virus scan with NOD and Symantecs online scanner and still nothing. I took a printscreen of the Task Manager to see if you guys notice anything wrong.

If everything here looks ok I am going to think its the new Sound Card drivers I installed the other day.

Looks clean to me. When in doubt search google for the process followed by "process information" (For example "svchost.exe process information". There a few sites that have libraries of processes and what they do. Check your registry and see what is firing off during startup. The task manager does not always show everything for what it is. For example svchost is a generic service that lets DLLs run as a service. Some spyware and virues take advantage of this to run there process undetected.

When do you see the slowdown? Does it seem to be slower voerall or when you are doing something specific?

the whole system is slow and sluggish. I didnt really notice this till I put in the new sound card drivers. Maybe I will revert back to the old ones and see if that helps

That makes since as I noticed one of the services running was from creative. I would try removing the sound drivers completely. Do a reboot and then do a fresh install. If still sluggish remove them completely again, reboot, install previous version. Let me know how that works out.

Your process list looked clean but I am not familiar with all the processes you have running on your machine.

It is always best to undo the latest changes to return the system back to its original, known working state. In this regard, I would uninstall the newly installed drivers and see if that helps.

I would then rerun those virus and spyware scans in Safe Mode in case a process is locking a bad file, thereby preventing scan access to that bad file.

It would also be good to clear your browser cache, cookies, and scan your system with HijackThis. Then take your HijackThis output log and copy it into the HijackThis analyzer to see for yourself if there is anything that needs more attention.

Thanks guys, I uninstalled the new driver and went back to the previous ones and things seem to be better, I am still gonna do the Spyware, virus stuff in safe mode again just to be safe, but it seems like it was the driver
