the company is no longer paying for anyone's phone... I currently have a verizon xv6700 that I am going to be allowed to keep - that will go on ebay. I don't really want a 'pda' type phone.. mainly something that gets good signal and whatnot. Maybe one of those razr phones? I keep a lot of stuff in my pockets, so I'd like something thin..

I have the Motorola Razr V3c from Verizon and don't have any complaints.

Reception is good, batter is good and it's slim and doesn't bug me while it's in my pockets.

I agree, though mine's a V3m. The only issue I'm having is connecting to my PC, but apperently I need an official motorla cable.

Howard Forums are going to be your best bet for phone info/opinions. They have a Verizon forum with a subforum for phone discussion.

I think I qualify for my New Every 2 discount right now, but I'm going to wait. I've got a VX6100 that I'm happy with.

I have the LG Chocolate. I love that phone. Of course, I had a nokia 6061 that had horrible voice reception and ugly design. So this thing is beautiful compared to that.

I've heard complaints about the touchscreen buttons, but I actually like them.

Why is that? Cant he just get any phone and put in his SIM card?

No verizon/sprint are on a cdma network. Cingular and t-mobile are gsm. I dont even know if verizon uses SIM cards.

Oh ok, here you only have to worry about the frequency , well actually not you only have to decide if you want a UMTS (which also does GSM) phone or continue GSM without UMTS

I have a LG VX8300 and I like it. Does what I need it to do (talk). The extra features are nice too: mp3 player, camera phone (which is really quite decent for a 1.3 megapixel camera phone). The complaints I have are that the plug things covering the cable and the headphone jack are not connected to the phone, but instead just come right off. I'd like to have it where it's connected so that when I DO take out the plugs to charge it, I won't lose the cover.

The other complaint is not really the phone, but Verizon itself. They've made it so that you can't put mp3's on your memory card and use it as a ringtone for the phone. You'll have to email the file to yourself and save it as a ringtone, which costs 25 cents or so (still better than the $1 they charge to download crap).

Other than that, I like my phone. Reception is good, phone is sleek, and has nice features.

go the pre-paid, unlocked, world phone route. its just way cool sporting a phone that you can pop any int'l sim into and blab away from (almost) amywhere on earth.
