I'm about to get a new laptop and the most tedious thing is going to be reinstalling everything all over again. I've made a list of the programs i'll have to reinstall and set up but then I thought, "Is there a Titanium Backup type program for Windows?"

For those of you not familiar with Titanium Backup on Android, it backups your apps AND their data, so when you do a hard reset/format, you can restore the apps AND their data back over. This way you don't have to individually install each app and configure them all over again.

Not exactly like Titanium Backup Pro. But what this program does is....

Let's say you format your PC, configure it to your liking, do all the windows updates, then install all your fav. apps + set them up...and want to create like a backup point / system image.....so that any day something wrong happens or your Windows feel sluggish or any other reason, you could simply restore back the image you took when your system was perfect

EaseUS Todo Backup Free

Also, if you want to have all the best apps you choose to all be in one installer, without any toolbars or crapware in them, then take a look at Ninite, select the apps you want, and let it create the installer for you. That way, you will have the latest versions of all those apps installed in one shot

Ninite - Single Installer for the most popular apps

Oh no it wouldn't then.

a) It may run with lots of problems

b) you may get lots of random BSODs (Blue screen of death)

c) the motherboards would be different, hence your entire Windows activation will not work

So in this case then, I guess your best bet IS Ninite at least it will save you the hassle of finding the most popular ads and get the latest verions of them and install them in one shot

come to think of it, I wish Windows had some app like Titanium backup where it would restore all the apps/settings the same way you had them when you backed up so in your scenario reinstalling them would be a breeze

hope someone can suggest something I'd love that too

I just finished installing a few apps within a few minutes all done silently without any toolbars! you could have your dinner while it does its thing :D

It even detected that I had the .NET Framework installed so even though I selected to install it, it skipped it! very neat $hit !

Now give meh teh Jelleh b34n for my S3 (the official, not the buggy Beta's from Sam)

Such a program would be completely unfeasible in Windows, because it is such a free-for-all when it comes to how programs and their data are stored. Every program does things slightly (and in some cases WAY) differently, and it would be impossible for a program to know what it needed to backup without it being specifically developed to backup a given program.
