I jailbroke my iPhone on my PC but I want to plug it into my Mac to get some music onto it.. its jailbroken, is there anything I should change in iTunes before I plug it in? I turned off automatic syncing and turned off automatic updates (both under preferences).. is there anything else I should do? Thanks

I have a jailbroken iPod Touch and never had an issue with other computers. Works just fine. It's the firmware that's hacked, so as long as you don't reset the device back to factory default settings, or completely erase it and start over. It will be jailbroken and work just as it has before.

Mine works fine, the only thing I don't do is the automatic updates. But I do automatic syncing. Yay for ZiPhone! :D

<---- doesn't own an iPhone (yet)

so the basic idea is once jailbroken you won't ever receive updates via iTunes right?

shouldn't at&t be able to tell who has a jailbroken phone based on the phones that are using old firmware versions?

I'm sure they could, but right now all jailbroken phones are current at the 1.1.4 update. I really think that it's a moot point. It's also so easy to SIM Unlock your phone, that AT&T has to be pretty stupid to try and combat the jailbreak community. They'll just simply up and go to TMobile.
