Mcguire's plastic polish is good but requiors considerable work. 2~3 bottles at $8 each must be bought & used. I've restored old motorcycle windshields with the stuff. Lots of work.

I just bought a 20X30" sheet of acrylic from ACE Hardware fro $8. Enough for two windows, if you can cut & drill. They have Lexan but it costs twice as much.

Given a choice, if the scratches are bad, I just replace.

I would suggest Meguiar's plastic polish too - but that's mainly for fine scratches. Deep scratches are better dealt with like lapping - a course of medium to very fine sandpapers followed by Meguiar's for the final finish. As mentioned above, much easier to just replace the window if it has deep scratches as it won't likely ever look the same. I've been wondering if that stuff they use to make cracks in safety glass disappear (windshield repair kit) might work on deep scratches - only one way to find out.
But if you go to motocycle shops or auto parts shops that cater to motorcycles and classic sports cars, they'll have a good selection of polishes for clear plastic like face shields, fairing windshields, ragtop windows, etc. along with Meguiar's.

IMHO, you can't beat good ol' Pledge furniture polish or equivalent. It doesn't remove the scratches, it just hides them -- same difference.

That's what I used on my (plastic) motorcycle parts, when I desert raced. Kept my bike looking like new! ;)

I saw in another forum I believe where this subject was presented.
I`m not sure if I remember it correctly but...somebody used clear fingernail polish to fill the scratches and then they buffed over the fingernail polish after it dried.
How they buffed it or what they used to buff over it I cannot remember...

Good Luck!
