anything i can do? i'm getting error messages saying i'm missing ''.dll '' files

it's happening with a few games and programs, it'll say, when i try and open the game or program, for example ''a required .DLL file, WS2_32.DLL, was not found ''
the actual file varies, is it the actually programs? or some sort of thing missing from windows
i have just formatted and reinstalled windows by the way

First, why the heck would you intentionally still be running that on a 450/128 class machine? That said, the fille you mentioned is part of Winsock2, which was released after Win95 went out the door. There are a number of other updates that you'll likely need to get 95 to reasonable run software that now expects 98 or newer.

Go to MS and install the winsock2 update for 95 and the dcom update for 95, that should get you updated winsock and ole drivers.

oh i'm just running 95 on this machine because with my newer one it only came with an XP recovery disk and i couldn't get it on here, so i had to opt for 95

thanks, those two updates helped and i can run some of the games now, but when i try and install a voodoo 3 tweaking program, i get the error ''a required .dll file,MSVBVM50.dll was not found''

do u have any idea what that is all about :S
