Well that's kind of my limit... it doesn't have to be anything all that special, but I don't want to get anything uselessly old. I just don't know about all the brands yet so I don't know which ones I should watch out for...

This is my thinking at the current moment:

Gainward GeForce3 Ti200 128MB (The new one).

On the sale/trade forums you can get a normal geforce 3(little faster than ti200) or an ati 8500 for more like $50 - 75 or so. I can say I liked my ti200 a lot, it scored 8500 in 3dmark. You might also be able to get a ti4200 on the forums.

GF 3 Ti 200 is a nice thing. Everyone I'v been talking to agrees on it. Ati 8500 128MB is also a nice thing. You could check this site and choose your self. Avoid Radeon 9100 if you can it is same as 8500, only slower (same core, same memory, same card, but lower frequency). 9000 is nice, but I think GF3 Ti 200 will bring better results in short run, but, 9000 has more juice for what is comming.

Hey, thanks. I was just kind of throwing something out there that I just found, but if it is that well accepted, I may just look into it more.

I have a question. Which, in general, is better? Radeon or GeForce?

Even though I owned a 9500 Pro myself generally Nvidia do better pretty good adpaters. They have great service and drivers are frequenly updated. However, in the past 6 months or so things had dramatically changed after the 9700/9500 Pro series came out.

my radeon 8500 on my rig scored over 9000 in 3dmark, good card for the money, 64mb version can be had for about 75 or so new, a tad less around the fs/t forums, actually, i should have a radeon 8500 in a couple days to put in there (cause...id have two otherwise)
