Anything faster than 24X burners coming out?

As the title says, just wondering, currently have a 12X plextor, not sure to upgrade or not, planning to move to from FAT32 to NTSF (winXP) so I have like 70 gigs to backup...

A lot of these newer drives at 32x and higher are reportedly supposed to be using the new Mt. Rainier standard (NO MORE EZCD )
