i know he got banned from hardforum, probably got banned from here too

To be more specific, he's been banned from SharkyExtreme, been banned here at Anandtech (twice), banned from Hardforums and banned from Beyond3D (twice).

He's no great loss, trust me.

While it might not be soo exciting, isn't x1950xt about to come out soon? I heard something about GDDR4 memory, I'd like to see some of that. Supposodly it consumes less power and it's faster, I'd like to see benchmarks of that vs a x1900xt, both at same clocks.

g80 though sounds like it's gonna be a monster card, I read awhile back that nvidia spent like 300 million on R&D for the G80. I donno if that's true, but it sure sounds promising.

For now I'm just gonna enjoy my 7600gt, I don't know how nvidia pulled off such great performance with this card, but I like it :)

Anyone waiting for DirectX10 before choosing a video card is a Fool! DirectX11 will come out and those video cards will be totally useless!!

WTF 1950XT? the 2nd refresh of the high end ati radeons? first the x1800, x1900, and now this? ati is getting quite silly at the "performance crown" game. these cards are fast enough, please (and even more fast when in sli or crossfire). give us dx10 cards already!!

damn I'm waiting for DX12 before I upgrade again :)

[time portal opens....]

You DirectX12ians are all the same, SM 7, what a joke! Should have stuck with SM6 and Adaptive Hyperlighting instead of taking that 50% performance hit!

LOL, I suppose you're gonna recommend the S3 Metagold 5000 GPU too? The NATI3DFX 1200 runs DirectX12 games faster than the only DirectX12 GPU available(S3 Metagold 5000)and it uses Software to do it! OMG!!

Yes, theyve spent ALOT on G80. I believe its been in the works for 4~5 years.

Not to mention its going to be half a billion in transistor count.

I wish them the best of luck. Isn't it also going to be produced using a 65 nm process at CSM in Singapore?

500,000 transistors + new process = MAJOR headaches

With three heated threads at the top now, I think it's safe to say that the place is no longer boring. :D

I'm just surprised all of the flames are igniting outside of this thread, even though this thread may or may not have instigated them.

You're right!!!

munky, you suck because your [insert X1900 brand] doesn't perform like mine and they don't overclock as high as my Sapphire!!! I'm going to go pull up a site that doesn't say so, but I'll take out certain sentences to make it look like that that's what they're saying!!! Then if you say that I was trying to distort the mood of the review, I'll call you a [insert X1900 brand] fanboy!!!
