Anything else to improve?

This isn't a gen hardware Question so i'll put it in OT:

I'm wondering if there is anything else to improve on my system? Of course hardware can ALWAYS be upgraded, that route is endless. But let's talk software-wise. I pretty much have everything set up the way I want it. Windows XP Pro SP1 and Office, all patched and updated. All applications organized and categorized. Desktop neat and organized. Software firewall, real-time antivirus, spyware and trojan protection, time synchronization, automated periodic backups and synchronizations, as well as daily cleaning up temporary files, etc, a daily registry backup and a daily checkup by Norton SystemWorks. Diskeeper Defrag program automatically running when necessary. CoolMon monitoring my system and displaying vital information on screen. MP3s all properly tagged and sorted.

:::whew:::

OK... So am I misssing something, or am I done here? 🙂

Yes, You need to write a quick program to play 'Ina Gada Da Vida' on start-up.

Furthermore - you switch over to Linux and Mozilla and other open source apps. No self-respecting true geek would ever settle for anything less than a Windoze less machine.

The speed of your cpu fan and the amount of bandwidth used in the last 24 hours is "vital information"?

You need to install gcc. All respectable computers should have gcc available.

None reported by AdAware. I don't think anything malicious could survive on my system. I've spent a bit on getting an excellent combo of protection: Kaspersky, Adaware, Norton, and Anti-Trojan. Kaspersky has caught stuff the others missed, but it lags my system too much, especially when loading a program into memory.

I also have Outlook Rules set up to redirect mails to specific folders. Also synchronization between Outlook, PDA and cell phone. Plus I have a neat scripts to get weather info and movie showtimes, save them to html files and sync with my PDA. Automatically done every half hour.

Damn I am a geek, minus the Linux part. Linux would be a whole new project. I think everyone needs a Windows system though, no matter how geekish. You may need to run a win-only app and inconvenience yourself sooner or later.
