Anything better than a gtx 560ti?

Do you actually think that a 560ti is top of the line or are speaking from a value perspective?

I may wind up going with the eVGA 560ti OC, although the 448 core version has come down in price.

That card's a poor value, but luckily Tigerdirect is having a fire sale on GTX 560 Ti 448's for $229 right now: http://slickdeals.net/f/4003926-Gal...-2GB-Video-Card-w-Batman-Arkham-City-229-99AR . Unfortunately, there's not much else out there to recommend, as the market seems to be a little bare (perhaps in anticipation for the 78xx series and Kepler dropping soon).

I noticed that... the 6950 is all but out of stock on the 'egg...

7950 and 7970 would be the only options that would make sense.

The money you could consider spending on a 7970 could easily cover a z68 motherboard,8gb of ddr3 and a 2500k and while you asked about a gpu well later on you could sli your gtx560ti while having sli support on z68.

Some titles like BF3 really push your cpu so your call,will guess your motherboard has hit its fsb wall with the q9550 and unless you got bad luck i don't think there is a 2500k in the world that refuses to hit 4ghz.

Actually, GTX 560 Ti is down to the $205-$220 range now. A few dip below $200 with rebates. That's pretty good for the performance and better than its only other competitor (the fast disappearing HD 6950). If my GTX 460 went belly-up right now that's what I'd replace it with.

I was thinking of just getting something better. As a mid range card not planning on spending 500 on a video card just yet lol. So right it looks better for me to stay with the 560?

Also i an only go xfire so would it be a good idea now to go xfire with the 6 series?

I got my 560 vanilla for $130 or so after rebate (new)...OCed it to 950/2200. Very happy with the performance at that price. Runs most everything I play at 1900 x 1200 / 16X AF.

noting on offer in the value range that is going to give a "o my" performance increase. You have to look at the higher end and so getting closer to that $500 to see a noticable difference.
