anyplace to get 8x DVD+R /RW discs?

I got Ritek 8x's from Newegg, but I can't get them to burn @ 8x with my BTC 1008im and Nero/DVDShrink.

BTC ewww. returned mine after it didn't burn anything above 2x. Did you try installing the latest firmware?

Yep, latest firmware. The drive works flawlessly otherwise, not a single coaster. Just won't burn at 8x! :|

you need 8x discs, try www.meritline.com

I can burn @ 8X with 4X Ritek +Rs using a Plextor burner...

My BTC 1004 burns every cheap 4x disc I've thrown at it so far, I don't know why people rip on them so hard. It burns Fry's GQ + & - @ 4x.
