Anyplace to buy just the car-deck faceplate?

I was wondering if there was any way to buy a faceplate for a deck that isn't through eBay, or through the manufacturer.

I had an Alpine 9833 deck, and the manufacture wants $250 + tax for the faceplate.

It really was my fault I guess, I left it in a bathroom at a mall when I was washing my hands... I came back a half hour later and it was gone. Customer service said no one turned it in either.

WTF? You could buy one off ebay, but it'll cost close to the cost of the head unit.

You take your faceplate off why?

I have a 9827 and I *NEVER* take it off. Too much of a hassle to mess around with it each time I get in my car.

Though, I do have a nice alarm. 😉

i dont know about alpine but my kenwood cd player came with a little card that you fill out and send in as proof that you actually own the cd player, so the manufacturer will sell the replacement for a reasonable price

If they were easy to replace, they wouldn't be much of a theft deterrent, would they?
