I overclocked my CPU (P4 2.4B) to 2.79GHZ no prob, didnt even break a sweat, stock voltage and everything.

HW MOnitor in my BIOS said the CPU temp was 29*C. Does anyone find that number to be a little TO low?

After I ran 3DMark a couple times to amek sure the sysytem was stable, it was, I looked in SiSoft Sandra for the CPU temp and it said 69*C!!!!!! I immediately restarted the computer, went into the BIOS and checked the HW Monitor and it said 29*C...

What do you guys think?

P4 2.4B @ 2.79 1.5v

Forget what Sandra says, its known to be... well inacurate at best! It informs kindly that my laptops processor is running at 129 C!!!
This is a P3 1Ghz...

Download Motherboard monitor (MBM5) if you want to see your temps from windows.

Thanks DaFinn.

Does anybody think that 29*C is an inaccurate report? For 2.77GHZ oc from 2.4?

Intel P4 2.4B
Albatron PX845PEV Pro
512mb PC-2700 Crucial (not micorn as I stated before accidentaly) DDR RAM
GeForce 4 Ti4400
80GB Maxtor UATA/100

I jsut dont wanna push this system and fry it because the mobo didnt correctly report the CPU temp.

Right now, I am posting at 2.88GHZ and it says the temp is only 28*C!!!! The system is stable though so i dunno.

Has anyone heard of Albatron mobos reporting wrong temps?

EDIT: Cooling is Vantec Aeroflow w/TMD Fan
