I've had a bunch of logitech optical mice and it seems from time to time when moving the mouse slowly the cursor kinda goes bonkers for a bit. Sometime when im about to click on a link my cursor just disappears to the corner of the screen, other times when im dragging it slowly to the left it goes to the right.
Im currently using a mx310 and it has this problem, im using a logitech dual sensor mouse at work and it has the same problem. And even an old ifeel mouse had this problem.

Am i the only one, or am i going bonkers?

I don't have any problems. Maybe try installing the latest drivers from the logitech website will solve the problem.

I have one of those Logitech Click! mice, which I bought from Wal Mart for 18 bucks. Best 18 bucks I ever spent. Works wonderfully.

No, I have Logitech Trackman FX and it acts up too. It seems to be an XP and trackball issue -- but I abused mine for 15hrs a day so it can be dying on me too. :(

It's getting harder to find a good trackball these days.

that happened to me until i learned NOT to pick the mouse up when i was moving it. Make sure your not lifting it up at all...

actually this problem went away with my mx500, but it happened with my optical Dell mouse

This type of thing typically happens if you pick your mouse up (well, it really happens when you put it down) and/or have a patterned, partially reflective mousing surface.
