For the past month or so both my wife's and my Google Voicemail got completely fubared. Instead of our greetings you randomly get robotic female voice saying 'Enter the number you wish to dial, then press #'.
If you then re-enter the number you dialed (mine, for example), you get the regular greeting and ability to record the message.
This happens about 60% of the time. Google search shows G boards full of rage about these for all carriers: VZ, Sprint, AT&T. So, it's not necessarily carrier-specific. The only solution was to remove forwarding, then re-establish it again. Unfortunately, that did not help - it still happens, and all the more frequent.
I guess, it's time to try Youmail and see if it works better. We don't use Google Voice for actual calls anyway.
