I did for awhile, it was okay. The pay is TOTAL ASS, but on this campus you have the opportunity to move up to a technician position, which is far more lucrative and doesn't lick balls. I'm going back this following semester for one good reason - STABILITY. Every entry-level IT position I slip into as a student, I'm there a few weeks, and they decide to cut us all. But I've developed quite the friendship with the technician's boss, and the helpdesk boss has grown to hate me (I have never failed to tell her when she's doing something stupid) - so I probably won't be going back into my previous position.
Oh, and the ONLY way to avoid being hired is if there are WAY more applicants than slots. You can know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and they'll hire you. Which is pretty fvcking frustrating if you do know at least something, because you have to teach your coworkers, and these TOTAL FVCKTARDS now have consultant access to all kinds of sensitive databases and applications.
