This is an odd request but I hope you guys can help.

I am making a Da Vinci Code type mystery scavenger hunt type game for a friend of mine. She goes to UCSD. I am hoping to hide one of the clues in a store in SD.

I would prefer if it was some sort of art store or a Salvation Army store or something. The idea is there is a painting or something and through the clues, she is lead there and then you either hand her the next tip/clue/envelope or she retrieves it herself from the painting, vase, etc.

Any store would really work but it'd be a lot more interesting if it was a piece of art or something. If you work at the Gap, I guess that would work too. What I would need is for you to tell me an idea object or hiding place, then I could write down some hint to lead her there.

Also, since this is kind of weird, your boss might get mad. So it'd be cool if you know ahead of time your manager would be cool with this. It shouldn't really make a scene or distract from business at all. Finally, I'd need to know your hours so she doesnt show up telling your unknowing coworker the passphrase and get weird looks.

Looking forward to your help!

Too hard to regulate. The chances of someone else finding it are too high. Also, the store is just one stop. There will be something in the UCSD library as well.

Uh, you saying the chances of it being found in Balboa Park are high but you want to put a clue in the library?? I think the chances of someone disturbing or finding the clue are a lot higher in the library.

Trust me, I know a really good spot in Balboa Park. :D

It would be inside a book. Maybe something on the brain of cats. Who would look there? And yes, I think so. If you have an idea for Balboa, it would have to be easily identifyable. That way I can make up some fancy riddle about it. I can't make up a riddle about a "tree". She wouldn't know which one. It'd have to be specific.

Also there is no limitation. Finding a clue in a piece of art would be cool, hence the store. It is not a requirement.

Art? There are museums all over Balboa Park, perfect for clues!

Just go to any antiquities store/Salvation army store and ask. What are they going to do besides say "no?"
