anyone work for Northwestern mutual?

Does anyone work or know anyone that works for Northwestern Mutual --sales position? If so, how does it work? Obviously, its not a scam, but how does the selling work and how do you get clients? Is it 'easy' to sell and easy to make a stable income? not looking for 60k a year, but a regular middle class income.

I got a job offer from them towards the end of my senior year; ultimately I couldn't really trust not having a stable income.
