Looks like my job is going to them end of the month. How's your benefits?

PM me if you're not comfortable posting them here.

Thanks!

Im sure its like all the other federal contractors...........benefits are OK but no where near federal workers benefits

 for all of us federal contractors

I'm with EDS right now and our benefits are awesome....I haven't heard the greatest things about Lockheed's but wanted to get it from the horse's mouth 🙂

And no, I haven't posted this previously.

<shrug> I've been with them for 5 years and have had nothing but a positive experience.

show me the link...I just did a search using me as the user and lockheed as the search term in both current and archived messages and got nothing.

Anywho, someone here has to be working for them! 🙂

My brother worked at EDS and Lockheed. He didn't especially enjoy either position. The atmosphere at Lockheed is (or atleast was) pretty formal. The pay isn't that great for the amount of work and output expected. Benefits are on par with other tech firms.

They cut our sick leave in half. And whenever the Feds get a day off from the President, (i.e. day after thanksgiving, this friday in memorial of Pres Reagan) or a snow day, we're required to take vacation as we're not allowed to work. That aside, they've been great to me and offer a wide variety of training/certifications.

how are the layoffs going at EDS ? I swear I have seen them laying people off left and right. They even dumped their PLM system UGS with a ton of debt. I am sure there will be ton of layoffs at UGS in next year or so.

To be honest I haven't heard much. This is such a huge company if the layoffs aren't happening in the immediate area I don't hear much about it.
