We know AT is a well respected site. Anyone work for one of the big two? Know someone who does? Doubtful they'd want to expose themselves.

Imagine in this time of secret specs and launch dates being an insider and trolling a site like this...

Hmm, i take it someone forgot about the AEG fiasco?

I have no doubt people working for ATi/nV lurk/post here.

A number of AEG, err sorry, "nV Focus Group" members still post on many other forums out there.

I recall something about that. Also something about Rollo. Was he in the mix?

He was.

But being in AEG and working for NV/ATI are a bit different...unless you work for them and ARE in AEG :p
I'd be curious to see who's an engineer or driver developer for either of the companies also.

Some of our members have identified themselves as working for intel and also AMD ...
-one of our elite members is an intel engineer who regularly posts "not speaking for Intel"

i know a guy from my high school i have completely lost touch with works there in the hardware part.

i also know my former coworker just got a job there last week... but he's a software engineer and i dont think goes to this forum.

the guy that posts with the not speaking for intel , works in lithography i think from what i remember.

i think the only one who really awknowledges working somewhere here is bsobel who works at symantec.

i'd say for the most part you dont want to accidentally post something not allowed here and have it get back to your PR people.

You know, usual stuff:

* Release date of nV's single GPU high end card

* Are we spoon fed bits of technology and speed? Could they make the mother of all cards if they wanted to?

* Are there secret partnerships between hardware and software companies, and if so who?

* Is magic money tossed around to develop games that stress the upgrade, such as Crysis?

Basically all the conspiracy theory questions answered... :D

When money is involved or other forms of compensation objectivity is out the window.

I don't have a problem with "focus group members" myself. People that work for various hardware companies or that have stock in them aren't going to be objective either.

To be fair, a lot of fan boys aren't objective and they usually have nothing to gain.

I only have problems with folks when they troll or repeatedly thread crap.

For the record I don't work for any of them, own stock in any of them, or receive hardware to "test". I've owned quite a bit of hardware from both corporations and currently own hardware from both of them.

BTW Mr. Tomasi is alive and well. :p

Feb. 29th

No, and yes, but the amperage...you wouldn't want to know.

* Are there secret partnerships between hardware and software companies, and if so who?
No, absolutely not. Never.

* Is magic money tossed around to develop games that stress the upgrade, such as Crysis?
No, they have to use real money for that!

nvidia and just about *every* game dev
[amd would do it IF they could/intel also does a good job iwith their 'partnerships' - watch their Ray Tracing push into graphics]

but

i don't think twiimtbp is secret or any of these programs are "secret'
-we just don't know the real details. :p

:D

... and 'yes', they *could* make the mother-of-all cards ... but why?
-just to play Crysis on 'very hi'?
--wait for next month [anyway] ;)
