Anyone work for a University w/a Microsoft License?

My dad works for a big university here, and we ordered XP Pro to be delivered on Jan. 2 from the university's computer store. This is the faculty and staff version of XP Pro (full version, by the way), and I was wondering if this has the Product Activation thing goin' on. Anyone know?

If anyone works (a.k.a. NOT a student) for a university with a Custom Enterprise Agreement w/Microsoft and buys XP Pro from your school computer store, you'd be a person who could clue me in.

I'm REALLY hoping for no product activation...but that's just me :D.

FYI... typically those licenses are not "YOURS", your only buying the MEDIA.. the "license" still is owned by the university, and if you no longer work for the university then the license goes BACK TO THEM, and you own only a unlicensed media... this is not a 'legal' way to get free software.... its just another easy way to steal.

I already know the schematics of the license agreement - and it doesn't look like my dad will be leaving the University anytime soon. I simply want to know if the Faculty and Staff version of XP Pro (like the one I will be picking up Jan. 2) includes product activation.

I don't want to steal software. I just asked a question about WPA. Even if I have to buy two CDs b/c of activation, XP Pro full version for $45 is not bad at all.

Our university is going to XP pro pretty soon, and it does not have the product activation in it. A friend of mine works for our computing center and will be installing it, so he knows for sure. I'm pretty sure any large organization that buys a site license, whether it be corporate or educational, doesn't have the activation.
