Anyone work at best buy?

I picked up a TERRIBLE head unit for my stereo yesterday and was wondering if I should wait before returning it - I definately don't want to get the same brand and wonder if there's going to be a sale on MP3 head units any times sooN.. Also, since the product is defective and it's been less than 30 days do I have to pay for installation again? Thanks!

It's defective - I'm guessing the problem is with the built-in amp... The sound will randomly start getting really shakey and distorted - kinda like a cheap cordless phone.. It's totally random and I get the problem with both MP3s and CDs.. It's def. not my speakers because they worked fine with my old HU.. I'm not returning it in exchange for the same unit because I've never, ever replaced a defective unit with the same model..

I used to work there. Bring it back, explain its defective, and they shouldn't give you any hassle.

On another note, I have a Kenwood head unit for my dash. That thing NEVER skips, even on really shittiliy burned CDRWs with MP3s on them.

And I live in Michigan. The roads here were built in the 1800's, before automobiles were invented. Or, at least, you hit so many potholes you begin to believe that.

Cool.. I was just worried that they would credit the actual item's cost and charge me for installation a second time.... Cool- once I get the old unemployment check I'll head to get it replaced (republicans- don't lecture me for spending my unemployment on car audio - I only got a new HU because my old one was stolen)..
