boy that would rock as my comcast is 1.7mb down and 256k up I would be more than glad to split the difference.
but i don't see how it could be true, and why would they need to sounds quite silly really.

Why not? You lucky people at ISP's get upto 800kB/s UPLOADS!!!!!!!!! Why can't we have 300kB/s uploads too?? That's the bottleneck in broadband speeds nowadays, you can download hella fast at speeds upwards 300kB/s but your computer is strangled to a measly 50kB/s upload.

This is a good point. I work at one and only wish it were true, but this is mostly for my own use....
