you could probably get an assistant manager job at your local drug store, or if you don't want full time work, you should be able to get a job as apharmacy tech.

Was a gas station clerk for 2 years. I got to be with (yes use your imagination) the assistant manager 3 days a week for 2 years. . . She was a cute redhead, about 30. . .

O yea the job was ok 2. . .

This is what I did, back in the day. I worked for a bank carrying all the receipts & checks back to the main branch.

entry level job = something to get your foot in the door, so you can move on to a better job in the same company or a similar field.

I'm working an entry level job right now, and I enjoy it a lot. suffering through the low pay for a few more months, till I either go into another department or they ship me out to the California office to replace the imcopetent Mountainview Datacenter manager.

While in college, I did grunt-level database programming and customer service. Pretty crappy. I had great (ie: hot) coworkers, but the job itself totally sucked.

Hrm, I was thinking about Data Entry mentioned earlier, but my father told me its a pretty boring job. All I would do is just type all day. Easy enough, but gets boring.

Eh, I'm not sure what I want to do to be honest. I'm not sure if I want just a regular retail sales job (like bestbuy/gamestop/circuit city, etc), or go on into something without customer service (like data entry). My father (as a graduation gift) has bought me alot of nice "professional" clothes. Gotta wear that to an interview or when I go job hunting.

I'm currently searching for jobs around my area on Monster.com and Hotjobs.com, not really sure what I want, and what I can get.

Eh, decisions... I'd probally end up working retail 🙁.

EDIT: Woohoo! Found my dream job! I put on my robe and wizard hat!

When I wasyour age going through HS and college, I worked mostly at McDonalds.
I worked at McDonalds through half way through college before getting fired or else I probably would have been there for a while.

I have to be honest and tell you that its was one of the best time of my life.
In fact most of my closest friends now I know from McDonalds.
I mean I was around most people around my age and we did alot of things together.
I also worked with the owner's son and he became my closest buddy.
In fact, 12 yrs later, he got me to work at McDonalds again...go figure..

Its weird but back in the 80's it was cool for HS kids to work at McDonalds and there you could find alot of pretty HS girls working there.
Now, all the pretty girls work at the mall or somewhere else.
Don't know what went wrong.

Another place that is really fun to work in but you're a little too young is a full service restaurant.
It was the best time as far as just going out partying every night.
People who work for tips usually all go out drinking everynight cause they always have cash on hand.
It was pretty much going out and driking and other stuff for me evry night.
You might want to wait till you're 21 to do that.

I worked for a forklift repair company delivering parts to mechanics scattered throughout San Diego county. It was great, I got to drive around in an air conditioned truck blasting the stereo all summer.

whao... your experience pretty much summarize mine. 🙂

At your age, I would think you would want to work with people your age where you are more likely to find new friends.
Don't get a job where there is only 2-3 people work at the same time, hard to find friends that way.
