anyone with TurboPrint+samba experience?

I just got a new canon printer and I'm trying to get it to run under Samba. There were no CUPS templates for the IP6310 and nothing really close, so I loaded up turbo print, which had something close enough to work. So I can now print from the linux server. The problem is that the turboprint setup app doesn't have a "sharing" option to push the printer out via samba, and their docs are confusing as to how this would be accomplished.

OS is FC4.

From their website it looks to me like it should work like any other CUPS printer so you shouldn't have to do anything special to share it.

That's what confuses me. In FC4, the printing utility uses CUPS, I'm not sure exactly how it works, but there is an ADD printer button and it actually finds the /dev/USB/printer device, but when I go through the wizard to pick the printer, it isn't listed. The list should be huge, since I loaded turboprint, but it's the same short list of canon printers as before.

I have no idea, my printing experience is extremely limited and only includes network laser printers since that's what we had at work. I haven't personally owned a printer since before the year 2000. That and FC4 is pretty old, is there a reason you haven't upgraded?
