Hello All,
Update, I got my T-Bird running last night. It was easy, I installed in this order so far:

WIN2K
SP2
All the Iwill Via drivers including the RAID drivers
Nvidia 10.x video drivers

And that is where I stand for now. Why? Because if I shutdown the computer, it will not boot back up again untill I wait about 20-30 minutes.
If I boot up and then shutdown as soon as windows stops loading then it will boot back up again.
I can restart anytime, that works ok. So it sound like a heat problem doesn't. But the hardware mon in Windows and in the BIOS read 43 degrees C for the CPU and 27 degrees for the system.
You think I have a defect board?
Man this bites big time.

Iwill KK266-R
1400MHz T-Bird

You have a common problem. These [Iwill] boards have been known to have this issue. I have several that won't boot at all with a GeForce3 card installed!

Cheers!

So sharkeeper what are you saying? Is it my Geforce II ultra 64 or is my mobo defecto?
Thanks

BTW:LuNoTick I updated my BOIS and it had no effect on the problem.

Wierd problem. I don't have that problem but I wonder if it might have to do with a BIOS setting or maybe a power issue. Hopefully someone can help you with this because I have been very happy with mine. Good Luck!

have you called Iwill and asked them?

I tried calling them once, but you have to leave a message... it's really weird. My best advice is give them a call and see what's up.
Also... do you have a friend that has a computer who wouldn't mind letting you plug components into his. What I mean is, plug your HD into his rig, and see if it works, then take it out and do it for each piece of equipment, that way you can pinpoint the problem. (although it does sound like a BIOS problem)

Hope that helps

That is a good idea, but all the componets came out of my working dual PIII computer.
Thanks, I'll give them a call.

quadcells, I have the same problem with my Iwill KK-266.

I either have to wait 10-20 mins like you or unplug the PC and take the battery out of the MB. There is an FAQ at fullon3d.com that has possible solutions. There are also other numerous problems I've encountered with this MB such as the CD-ROM crashing the system whenever you install anything above 100MB.

For some reason, my MB stopped the shutdown problem but now has a new one. Whenever I shutdown, the PC starts right back up again.

Oh well, I guess it's making up for all the times it hasn't booted for me.

FYI: That's one of the reason's why I think these Iwills suck.

Edit: One other thing someone recommended to me was to OC less. You might want to try that as well.

here are few things to remember when dealing with an Iwill kk266...

remember to triple check your setaings. even if you are sure everything is seated well, make sure just once more.

make sure that you have all the jumpers on the board in one position or another..for example..even if you dont use the onboard audio or Raid controllers, set them to disabl rather than taking off the jumpers.

clear the cmos, and while the jumper is set to clear, try pushign the power button a few times.

and when all is said and done, make sure everything is seated again :)

ohoh, i had a problem when i set my fsb to 133 after having it set to 100, it wouldnt start up at all, no post, justa few beep codes that no one ever heard of. i figured out that ifi had all three memory slots filled, it wouldnt boot but once i took out one stick, it booted at 7.5x133 no problem(tbird 900), and after one succesful boot i could reinstall the memory with no problems what so ever.

so far i think this board has been much much less than my abit kt7-r, but one problem that i havent even bothered with yet is when i try to use the AMI controller as a standard IDE controller the HDD is soooo slooooooow. its probably something very trivial and i havent read up on it yet so...

good luck
