I've just been given a .wdb file by a friend but can't open it in excel or access. Anyone with works want to do me a big favour & convert it to a csv or something else I can open?

Pretty sure if you had a full install of Excel or Access, you could open or import that file. I don't have MS Works, but if you want to mail it to me, I'll give er a whack. Email address is in profile.

Its ok, got someone else to do it.

I did'nt believe it either, but you can't open this file in either access or excel (nor can you import the data). This is ms we're talking about, though, remember.

I have a similar problem with old MS Works files. I have a bunch of *.wps (text) files that I need converted to *.doc (Word) files. Word is supposed to do this, but it doesn't, at least not correctly. I have Word 2000 and my *.wps files are from as far back as 1993. any ideas? Microsoft's website is no help, btw.

thanks.
