Bumpty. Anyone done any of these certs before? Just want to know how much they are worth.

Useless unless the company that is hiring is a follower of ITIL. Then only if they need a program coordinator or process leader. It is becoming more and more common though, if you're looking at some sort of management position and they understand ITIL, it could be enough to get you hired.

I don't have any of the certs but I've been through a few training classes here in the states. I've been in IT-related jobs for about 15yrs and I've never seen a job posting that had one of the certs as required or even highly-desirable. Over here, technology-specific certs like those from MS & Cisco are more highly-regarded. Perhaps it carries more weight in the UK since ITIL originated there (as far as I recall.) I think it also depends on what you might need it for...might come in very handy if you're interviewing for a director-level or VP job in an IT shop.

Yeah apparently my company is offering these certs fully funded. I was just wondering what they were worth in the real world, and if it was worth my time. I kind of guessed they didn?t hold a lot of buff. I already have an MCSA, and from my experience even MS certs dont mean much anymore.
