Anyone with an AMD card using Displayport?

Quick question; does using DP enable the pixel format options in CCC? They are there with HDMI but not with dual link. The monitor I'm using is 1440p, but the 6950 that's driving it can't do that resolution with HDMI (though the monitor does support it)

I can check and report back tomorrow... how do you access the pixel format options in CCC?

What are these pixel format options and what do they enable us to do?

EDIT: if all you want to do is run your 1440p monitor at its native resolution then it should suffice to simply hook up the monitor to DP or dual-link DVI (if it has these inputs). No action in CCC should be required other than selecting the resolution

the pixel format options allow you to change between studio and PC video levels. Dual link does 0-255 only.

You don't see Catalyst Control Center? o_O

Oh... that is what you are refering to...

I opened up Catalyst Control Center and in the section you mentioned I don't see pixel format options.

Under "My Digital Flat Panels" I only see Properties, Display Color, HDTV Support, and LCD Overdrive.

That's what I needed to know! thanks!

That option is only for monitors that are only capable of limited range color (16-235 TV/film).

Dunno why in the world would you want to use it in a DP monitor that's likely to support full RGB (0-255 PC) range.

I had the same issue with "Pixel Format" not being an option under "My Digital Flat Panels".

Looking under the "Display Color (Digital Flat Panel)" there was an option to "Reactive AMD Color Control" or something similar. Activating this option didn't have any noticable effect in the Display Color settings, but now the "Pixel Format" options are visible.

Hope this helps someone else :)
