Anyone with Amazon.com Tmobile Rebate Experience?

Hey guys, any of you have experience with amazon.com rebate? This is my case ....

- I currently have (2) phone services with Tmobile.com.
- I would like to buy (3) new phones with Amazon.com
- After receiving the (3) new phones, I would like to cancel the (2) phone services that I currently have with Amazon. Yes, my current (2) phone services contract have already expired.

What I am not sure about is will I qualify for the Amazon.com rebate this way? A part of the rebate says: "Rebate will not be honored for customers adding a line of service who then cancel an existing line"

I talked with Tmobile and they said that I will qualify for the Tmobile rebate since I will still be Tmobile customer. Can anyone confirm this?

Where it gets squirrley with Amazon & T-Mobile is that T-Mobile only likes to approve one phone per person, you have to interact with their credit dept to get more than one line approved through Amazon to get the killer rebate deals.

Rebates will apply if you are starting new service. Meaning, you can not be t-mobile customer for last 180 days (6 months). In your case, if you are buying 3 new phones for T-mobile then you will have to pay full price of the phone.

that was my experience when i went through amazon...phone rebate was only for new tmobile service for a cust that had not been a member already.

From the rebate form:

• "3. Activate your new service. (Note: this rebate does not apply to phone purchase for use on an existing account and phone numbers. If you already have an existing account and wish to obtain a second line of service (for a family members, employee, etc), you will qualify if you purchase and activate a phone with a new service plan.

As long as you adhere to that stipulation, should not be a problem. To be honest, would cancel the other two contracts prior to ordering. You would not be able to transfer the numbers of the two accounts being cancelled regardless (as that would be considered an existing account according to the rebate verbage), and it guarantees exclusion from the above mentioned "who then cancel an existing line" clause.

Im gonna assume since you have 2 phones and want 3 you have a family. Why not just put the new phones in your wifes name?

However what puzzle me is how Amazon will know if I have just recently cancelled my current phone service with Tmobile.

I hope they don't have a system that actually communicate with Tmobile and chcking whether or not I am still in service with Tmobile on my old (2) phones.

This is actually won't work. Once you cancel both of my old contract with tmobile, you can't re-join tmobile for another 90 days (or i think it may even be 180 days). Tmobile say they do check for this to determine whether or not you will qualify for rebate / any discounts.

Did you have a similar situation like mine?

Where assumably you already have a service with Tmobile, then order a phone with rebate from amazon, then cancel your old tmobile contract. And still qualify for the rebate?

Can't do this.

1. Girlfriend already have existing contract with Tmobile. She was gonna join the new family plan.
2. Brother, still too young and have no credit records.
