Anyone with a Ti-89 know how to add polar numbers?

Im trying to add two phasors with a TI-89. Is there a built in function to do this? If so how do I get to it.

use brackets [] around the Magnitude followed by the angle symbol then angle value and use the normal "+" operator

When I do that, it gives me a syntax error and places the cursor right after the angle symbol.
