Anyone with a T40/41 try playing Deus Ex: Invisible War?

I have a PM @ 1.6 with a Radeon 9000 video card and 512mb of RAM setup on my T41 and recently installed Deus Ex: Invisible War. I tried playing it and found it to be extremely choppy even at the lowest resolution settings and with all the features turned down.

Has anyone else with similar settings tried playing this game and if so, how were your results?

If I get good feedback, I'll try reinstalling and tweaking my drivers or settings somehow.

are you using the stock ati catalyst drivers that came with the laptop? i highly recommend using the omega drivers found at omegacorner i played warcraft 3 using the stock drivers which was very choppy before upgrading. the omega drivers make a world of difference.

I am still reinstalling stuff on my new T41. Are the omega drivers stable for everyday use? Or are they only to be used if you're gaming?
I just downloaded v2.5.30

Thanks

and what do you do, if you have a firegl card - omega doesn't make drivers for those :(

the drivers are stable for everyday use....they have extra functionality for overclocking the gpu and optimizing opengl and direct3d
