Ok I have a SBlive 5.1 Platinum sound card but the drivers disk I have is only for a SBlive 5.1 It won't let me install RemoteCenter. If anyone that has the original disk could you plz send me the software so I can use the IR fuction of the IR bay I would really appriciate it. It appears that Creative is no longer allowing dl of install software they only have drivers and the Remote center software is only updates for installed versions already. I would greatly appriciate any Help

Sorry Mike...I've had that same card for a long time, but the software is just too terrible to install. I remember trying once when I first got it and it didn't work out so I quit. 🙁

That's odd... How come you don't have the CD for the Platinum? And can't you request a driver from Creative? 🙁
 
OK I have talked to creative and they sent me a new drivers disk but it still just installs like it is a SB Live 5.1 card. It doesn't install the remote center software. Thats one of the reasons I got the platunum so I can use the remote. I have a tv tuner installed on the system and would like to be able to use it like a tv remote when I am just watching TV

you sure that the live drive is connected correctly? the software will not install on mine if the cable is not attached the right way. i too have the software, if u need em pm me.
 
Thanks for the offer guys. I just wanted to know if I have to have the whole disk or Can I just install the Remote Center software? Can anyone that has that software try? Plz let me know
