I just put together a new build with the following components:

E5200
P45 UD3R
G.Skill DDR2 800

Computer wont post. If I populate slots 2 and 4, the computer beeps rapidly for 10-20 seconds and reboots. It will loop until I turn off the PSU. If I populate slots 1 and 3, the same thing happens except without the beeps. I have tried this RAM, my old G.Skill RAM, and a set of Corsair that I just purchased at Frys and all behave in the exact same way. If I populate only slot 1, the motherboard posts fine and goes right into Windows.

I have read some reviews and noticed several people complaining about memory compatibility issues with this board, but 2 sets of G.Skill and a set of Corsair not working? You all think I'm having compatibility problems or is this board just junk?
 
You might just have a bad board. I build a system for a friend recently that used an E5200, a UD3R, and 4GB of Gskil DDR2-800. No problems whatsoever.

Did you try clearing the CMOS?
 
Yeah, I even jumped into Bios when I had one stick in and switched voltages around some to see if that helped, and no go.
 
try switching the memory to the other slots.. i just read a couple of posts where people said that they had to use the white slots instead of using the blue slots..
 
1.1, and once again, in my original post I said I got it into Windows with only one stick of RAM in slot 1, any other combination won't post regardless of manufacturer.
 
You've already tried 2 sets of ram and the mb didn't co-operate, I don't see a reason why you should keep the mb imo. If you're still under the 30 day return period. Just exchange it. The mb is great when it works and it's no way junk. You just happen to have defective unit. It happens to all the rest of us....

Well the only reason I'm even asking is because I read some Newegg reviews all complaining of similar issues, and it being a memory compatibility issue on some of them. Just don't want to mess with an RMA unless I have no choice, but sounds like I don't. =\
 
Yeah it is a good board but it shouldn't take that much hassle as long as you know your mem sticks are ok. All board makers hit a lemon sometimes. RMA if you can.
