I have a chance to pick up a GA-7ZXE M/B and I'm looking for anyone with experiance with that board.

I serached for reviews high and low and could only come up with one in German! I found a number of reviews with the GA-7ZX (w/ the KT-133 chipset) but none of the ZXE! I also found reviews of the ZR (I believe it was), but after seraching a dozen or so sites, nothing.

The reviews of the ZX weren't that great. I don't know if it was the chipset or the board itself. I'm not a Gigabyte fan, but the price might be right and I'm willing to give it a try. I have the documnentation from Gigabyte but a little insite would be better!

I'm not looking to overclock, or to have the latest, greatest, fastert box on the street (especially from a 1 1/2 year old M/B) but something halfway decent.

Any input would be great and thanks in advance!

It's a gigabyte...
if you need a mobo and you can get this one from a friend or something for cheap, do it.

they make pretty sweet boards most of the time.
if the price was right, i wouldn't even need a review. just make sure i knew what the chipset was and such.

here are the gigabyte products
click on socket a and scroll down
appears it's the same as the 7ZX except it has some different features.
it's a full size ATX board, no mATX or any ghetto stuff.
the board looks okay to me....

I have been to Gigabyte's site, what I was looking for was feedback from users.
Gigabyte isn't one of the more popular boards out there.

yeah it is man... they make great boards
tons of OEMs use Gigabyte.
the GA-7ZX is a fine mobo.. works good, i've seen them in many-a OEM system, and run just fine.
what do you need this board for? if it's a good price, dont hesitate. if you are looking for a powerful PC for your own rig, pass, and get DDR.

I have a chance of getting it used, but couldn't find any reviews of this board (at least in English) just models before and after this model. Makes me suspicious!
