Anybody know any that don't contain milk or milk byproducts? I'm allergic to milk so it can't be any that use whey protein or need to be mixed with milk.

I've tried a bunch and they all taste nasty.

Whey protein from GNC "Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey" chocolate flavor is the only I've found that I can drink regularly. I have strawberry now and it's terrible. I hate it. It was good at first, but now it is hell.

Keep in mind you will be drinking it like 30-60 times a month.

If you want good tasting stuff get the whey protine from Biochem, tastes like a milkshake. Best bang for the buck is meal replacement shakes though (they taste the best due to more carbs), Myoplex in chocolate flavor tastes great with twice the amount of recomended water (2 cups instend of 1). Generally it's best to get flavorless whey protine and just add whatever you think makes it taste good, pure cane sugar with different coatings (I think there's honey, molasis, and other stuff) mixed with some fruit makes the stuff taste pretty good. You can put it in soup and stuff like that as well, as it's almost flavorless. I'd go meal replacement though, trying to implement protine into a diet without it being a part of another meal kinna sucks, if you take in to much protein you can sometimes get tierd (that's only me talking, I get a bit tierd) so it's best to know exactly how much your putting in your body.

None of them need to be mixed with milk afaik. Just as easily mixed with water or (preferably) any type of juice, as long as you get the strawberry flavor. (Chocolate protein powder + orange juice = the nasty)

You got some ballz to be able to get down GNC's nasty brand. Designer or Nitrotech are the most neutral brands I've found that I can down (I gag easier than 99% of the people I know)

Chocolate Designer Whey is what i drink, mix it with some water, and you got a healthy watery tasting milkshake :p

It's one of the best protiens out there too, and it's relatively cheap. Give it a shot man.

Oh yeah, don't forget to work out.

Designer??? That sh!t requires a nuclear bomb to dilute in liquid. Hell, even in a blender that concrete mix sticks to the sides and leaves chunks. :disgust:

I've had the best results with TwinLab Triple Whey Fuel Vanilla flavor. It will dilute with a spoon in milk.

Umm I use the EAS Double choc. protien mix, it tastes like a choc milkshake, i actually look forward to makeing it and drinking, it also mixes well. But also i own a GNC, so i know alot about what people buy, Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey is one that is bought alot, the designer whey is a great one too, u can buy all these at GNC's, they will help you out there too, with info and stuff. And if you cant; take milk products, try soy protien, thats the next best, if not equal to, whey. Both work great, you can also try Egg protein, these again can by bought at GNC's. they also come in differ flavors, u know the the norm, choc, vanilla, and strawberry. Also you can mix with out without milk, u can try water. I use milk it tasted better, not tat i have tried with water. Sometimes i will add fruit and such too it.

If you don;t feel like mixing these drinks everytime you can get ready to drink drinks. They taste awsome, but more expensive

Go ahead try them out. hope this helped

I get Optimum nutrition whey from gnc because it's very cheap, although I locally found a place that sells the same weight in designer whey for cheaper, so I'll switch.

Strawberry brand Optimum whey as mentioned below, is the most foul flavor. It just tastes like a chemical bath. Very gross. I have vanilla now and it's great. I sometimes drink with water (i don't really mix it so much, just a few swirls and wolf it down, so it doesn't matter if it mixes well), and often with a frozen banana and milk blended.

You can get soy based protein powder. I did that from GNC once and didn't realize what I'd done. By the time I got home and realized I thought I'd give it a try anyway. No word of a lie 10 min later I was ralfing up my guts. That stuff is so fvcking awful, and I've willingly consumed raw egg white shakes in the past with little concern. The soy protein truly is terrible, but you may want to give it a go. Thankfully GNC has a good return policy.

It doesn't mix well with a spoon I'll give you that. In a shaker cup it mixes perfectly fine or with a blender.
