My mom lives in Allen Park. When I drive to her house, there is a set of two red light going north on Allen road, where it hits Southfield (M39). The first light you stop at is a side street sort of, and there is a sign on the right shoulder that has says right lane must turn right. Then 50 feet ahead is Southfield rd, and another sign that says right lane must turn right onto Southfield. Now the road only has one white dotted line, making it into 2 lanes. The right lane however, is wide enough for 2 cars, just barely.
So the question is, are there really 3 lanes there? Two straight lanes, and one that must turn right onto Southfield? I get so tired of people squeezing up so tight next to me, then getting up to the right turn and I have to swing wide not to hit them. I would think if there were 3 lanes, the road would be marked with white paint for 3 lanes.
Anyways, if you have never been there you probably won't understand what I'm talking about.
Thanks
