Anyone who knows how to use cycloheximide?

Help! Do I pre-treat my cells with cycloheximide when I'm trying to run a time course experiment and use it to inhibit protein synthesis? :Q

I think you just add it all to a mayonaise jar, shake it up, and throw it against a wall. That should inhibit something.
